Your VIN number was not recognised.
There are several reasons why this may have happened:
- You may have made a mistake when copying it – try checking it again being careful to
differentiate between numbers and letters – for example, 8 and B or 1 and l can look very
similar. All Volvo VIN numbers begin with YV1, YV4, PNV or LVS
- Your car may not be eligible for the MapCare™ programme. Try checking the criteria here
- If your Volvo was manufactured very recently, the VIN number may not yet be in our
registration system. Please complete and post the registration card in your user
manual which should be in the glove compartment of your car. We will then complete
your MapCare™ registration as soon as your VIN number is available in our system
